Business Cards…the business!

I’ve been to two networking events this week. Both really great sessions where I met lots of fabulous women entrpreneurs.

The first was in Bradford and hosted by Business Link ( and if you haven’t used their expertise you are missing out big time!) and the second by ANgela Agnew of http://www.switched-on.biz who is a straight talking Glaswegian business women who talks a LOT of sense particularly about networking.

Angela is raising money for a Guide Dog for the Blind for Steve Cunningham – The Fastest Blind Man on Earth!………             I’m sure she’d be delighted if you wanted to support the cause by clicking here

Anyway, I digress, I wanted to talk about business cards.

Many people startingout don’t want to spend money on marketing and see ‘free’ business cards as the way to go. Whilst I’ve used VistaPrint myself and am pleased with their service, please, please don’t go for their free cards as they have their messages emblazoned on the back of each and every card – giveing them great publicity but screaming AMATEUR about you and your business!

There are other low cost providers of cards and for a few pounds it really is a worthwhile investment if you want your business to be taken seriously. Try Moo Cards for example.
